The University Recommendation MEXT Scholarship is open to all international students from all over the world. Scholarships from the MEXT Japanese Government are available at Yokohama University for international students wishing to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees in Japan. The Japanese government is offering fully funded scholarships for the school year 2023–2024.
The MEXT Master Scholarship has a 2-year duration, whereas the MEXT Doctoral Scholarship has a 3-year duration. It is not necessary to have IELTS or TOEFL scores or to speak Japanese. Students whose language institute was in English are not required to take language tests and may submit an English Proficiency Certificate from their university.
