John T. Donelon Scholarship ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the John T. Donelon Scholarship, applicants must be members of the NALC or the child of a member in good standing with the organization. Additionally, applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
The scholarship application requires applicants to submit their academic transcript, a list of extracurricular activities and community involvement, and two letters of recommendation. Applicants must also submit an essay that demonstrates their commitment to education and explains how the scholarship will help them achieve their goals.
The amount of the scholarship varies from year to year, but the maximum award is currently $2,000. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses.
One of the great things about the John T. Donelon Scholarship is that it is renewable. This means that recipients of the scholarship can apply for it each year they are in school, as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
