The Candidate

Undergraduate Scholarship for MAS
If you are a candidate for the A-Levels, you must offer a minimum of 11 academic units. Students with exceptional records who offer 10 academic units may be taken into consideration. Regardless of the subjects they have studied, all candidates are given equal consideration. International Baccalaureate and Polytechnic students are also eligible for the scholarship. For consideration, students must have earned at least 36 IB program points.

Qualities

You should be a well-rounded person who has achieved success in both academic and extracurricular activities. You are a driven individual who has proven excellent leadership abilities in CCAs or extracurricular activities.

Nationality

Foreign nationals, Singapore Permanent Residents, and Singapore Citizenship aspirants are all eligible for the scholarship.

The benefits of the MAS Scholarship

The scholarship is valid for 4 years of study at any reputable university in Singapore or abroad, from the United States and United Kingdom to Japan, China, Germany, and India. Medicine, dentistry, and architecture are the only exceptions. If students take language courses and receive credits toward their degree, those courses are supported.

The scholarship includes an 8-week internship with MAS during which you will be given a project to complete in a particular department, allowing you to get a sense of the organization’s pulse.

Our scholars who conduct research outside of academic institutions and textbooks have our full support. We encourage our scholars to expand their horizons, whether it be by studying abroad for a term and becoming fully immersed in a new culture, or by working as an intern for a private company to learn more about the exciting world of finance.

After you complete your undergraduate degree, we might sponsor your postgraduate studies. The choice is based on a number of elements, including your academic performance, the field you’ve chosen for further study, and your academic preferences.

You will be assigned to one functional area within MAS after completing your undergraduate studies, where you will receive in-depth training and develop more advanced knowledge and skills. To give you a well-rounded career in MAS, there will be opportunities for you to investigate the various MAS functions.

Application Process

If you wish to be considered in the provisional selection exercise, you should submit your application in September. You can submit your application using your preliminary examination results. You do not need to secure a place before applying for the scholarship, but you should indicate your choice of universities and courses in the application.

Scholarship offers made at the end of the provisional exercise will be conditional upon candidates’ meeting our academic requirements in the final examinations. You may be considered in the main exercise (in March) if you are not shortlisted in the provisional exercise.

Shortlisted applicants will go through four stages of assessments: (1) essay writing and psychometric test; (2) panel interview; (3) group discussion and psychometric test; and (4) interview with management members.
